About GTAScanner

GTAScanner tracks everything GTA 6. We are not always first — we aim to be the place you check to find out whether something is actually true.

How stories are classified

Every news story carries a verification status:

• UNVERIFIED — a claim circulating without sufficient confirmation.
• REPORTED — reported by a credible, identifiable publication or journalist.
• CONFIRMED — directly confirmed by Rockstar Games, Take-Two, or another official source.
• DEBUNKED — shown to be false. Debunked stories stay published as a record.

Each event in a story's timeline is labeled by where it came from: OFFICIAL, PRESS, DISCOVERY (something identified in official media), or COMMUNITY. Analysis pieces are our own interpretation and are labeled ANALYSIS.

Editorial policy

• A rumor is never presented as equivalent to an official announcement.
• Every story links its sources. Claims without a source are not published.
• Stories are updated in place as facts develop; the update timeline is public.
• Corrections are noted in the story timeline.
